My name is Torrence Taylor, and I’m a photographer based in the South Loop of Chicago. Originally from the Southside of Chicago. I discovered my love for photography during my freshman year of high school, when I got my first camera. From that moment, I was hooked—drawn to the way a single image could tell a powerful story, capture emotion, and preserve a moment.

After high school, I moved to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University for two years. It didn’t take long for me to realize that environment wasn’t aligned with who I was or what I wanted to build. I decided to fully pursue my passion and transfer to Columbia College Chicago, where I now major in Photography. The move allowed me to sharpen my creative vision and surround myself with a community of artists who push me to grow.

Photography is how I see the world. My work is driven by a desire to highlight beauty in everyday life, especially within Black culture and identity. I aim to make photos that feel honest, intentional, and deeply human.

Currently based in the Chicago South Loop area and open for bookings, collaborations, and creative work. Let’s build something meaningful together.
